Mother Amber and her puppy Jet rescued in October 2006. Amber and her six puppies were abandoned and ejected from the compound they were living in. Following a search in the surrounding area this young mum was found and taken into care.
Rocky, local street dog rescued in November 2007. Rocky was having a tough life on the streets and it was suggested that he would make a good companion for Amber and Jet as they have a gentle life in a safe compound! During the past three/four years they are all living happily together at a members home. The English couple spend October to May in The Gambia. During the other five months they are wonderfully looked after and cared for in their own home by a young Gambian man. An inspiring story of how dogs can be re-homed successfully. |
