This is a dog that was found in a Storm Drain in late September, and one of our members contacted the Vet. With his help the poor animal was rescued from the drain and upon investigation it was discovered that someone had tried to castrate the dog. Fortunately our Vet was able to “repair” the horrific injuries and he has provided us with photos of the state of this poor animal’s body. As much as we all find the pictures distressing, we did feel that sometimes it is necessary to show the sort of thing that does happen in these under developed places and the very great need for Charity Organisations, like ours, to be there to save lives wherever possible, of these sad creatures.

This badly injured dog that was found near the Sheraton Hotel has now had the correct surgery performed and is presently recuperating at the local Care Home, and as soon as possible he will join our list of mutts looking for a new home! It will not be long before we produce some new and healthy photos of this boy! Watch this space!

Updated News.

The dog found in the Storm Drain has been called Storm by Pam. When he first was taken there he was unable to walk properly - he had to be helped along - he could not walk unaided.  Also, Pam was having problems getting him to eat and drink.  She was making great efforts though and getting him chicken etc.  He was being kept inside her house with her as he was not well enough to be with other dogs.  He has rather a large swelling on one of his legs as well as from the castration (local one) not from the treatment given by our veterinary.

Latest News - from the Veterinary.

Oct 1st.

Storm developed a Peritonitis after his "kastration".
Is with me since Wednesday, had high fever, today is the first day he walks and eats again.

We are now awaiting further news on Storm's progress. Hopefully he will continue now to get well and one day we will have him ready for adoption.
