One female dog was reported to us. She had apparently had an accident some days previously. She had suffered appaling injuries to her head and to one of her front legs. She had been almost scalped and was in such a bad state, that we had to put her to sleep.
Another male dog was found, "locally castrated", bleeding profusely from a large wound in his scrotum. This dog was successfully treated by one of our vets and has now fully recovered and is ready for adoption.
An old female dog was found late one night in Kololi. She was very distressed, dehydrated and dying of suspected distemper or rabies. We called the vet and she was peacefully put out of her misery.
A male dog, hit by a car suffered a fractured diaphragm. One of our helpers "breathed" for him throughout his huge operation. This dog is recovering well and will soon be seeking a home.
