If you are already one of our regular friends and we have your email address, then we will have just sent you the latest June Newsletter. One of the stories we told in this Newsletter was the one about this lucky Mother and her three pups.

Early in April this year an injured dog was seen in a very busy area in a highly populated town and so one of our intrepid volunteers went out to see what she could do to help.

There was a lot of traffic and many people dashing around and it was soon discovered that the new mum had taken refuge down a storm drain. Once she had located the position of this vulnerable family the volunteer made several trips to the storm drain, some under cover of darkness - yet still a busy scene - and discreetly, so their safety was not jeopardised, food was dropped and gradually the mum ventured out a little way to see this volunteer and then the rescue could take place.

Sadly no one that night had their camera, so the first photos we have are of the Mum and her two girls and one boy, safe and warm in their "foster" home. All three of these puppies have now found new homes and we have photos of the new owners.

Mum was soon busy again as just as her three youngsters were weaned, two orphans were bought in and fortunately this young mum took over a role as a surrogate mother and these two are now thriving and looking for new homes.
